CLAT OVERVIEW

ALL THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CLAT CLAT, which stands for Common Law Admission Test, is a centralised/ a national level test that you need to clear for admission in one of the enlisted National Law Universities in India. The test is taken after the Higher Secondary Examination or the 12th grade for admission to integrated under-graduation programmes in Law and after graduation in Law for Master of Laws (LL.M) programmes conducted by these law universities. First conducted in 2008 by the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), CLAT is currently conducted by the participating universities on a rotational basis in the order of their establishment. There are seventeen National Law Universities in India, the first of which is the National Law School of India University, which admitted its first batch of students in 1987.
