Right time to Start CLAT / LLB Preparation and Which subject to be chosen in Class 11th and 12th

What would be the right time to start CLAT preparation ?

Someone rightly said that there's no 'right' time for education.

But for a student, it is important to decide what career he wants to choose and give a head start to the preparations.

Though CLAT doesn't have any age limit for taking the entrance test, still any student aspiring to be a lawyer or an advocate should start the preparation right after class ten boards, along with humanities in +2 level, which is advisable.

The subjects chosen in standard 11 and 12; political science, civics, sociology, economics provide all the basic study needed for the CLAT (common law admission test).

One to Two year preparation is adequate for a sincere and studious candidate to crack the law entrance examination.

One can enrol in various program courses under any reputed and reliable CLAT coaching centre to get a proper structure and training in preparation for the entrance test.

Some of the best CLAT coaching centres are in Delhi. Every year, several candidates from across the country travel here to start preparing for the law entrance.

Candidates appear in the law entrances after the final year of boards (class 12), and then get admission in law institutes and colleges according to ranks secured in the entrance examination.

It is very advantageous to crack the entrance exam for students who start early and have a proper study guideline.

Aspirants of CLAT examinations should practice previous years’ question papers on a regular basis and also keep daily updates on current affairs. It is always advisable to read newspapers daily, specially the  editorial section and note down all the important events, dates or any other legal information.

For anyone who dreams to be an advocate or a lawyer, he should plan his career accordingly, set a target and make a study schedule; for no matter how easy it looks, there's no shortcut to success.

CLAT 2025 : Delhi High Court Finds Two Answers 'Demonstrably Wrong', Directs To Revise Results Of Petitioner

The Delhi High Court has ruled that courts shouldn't take a completely hands-off approach when it comes to correcting errors in answer keys, especially when those errors are clearly wrong. Justice Jyoti Singh emphasized that courts have the power to review and challenge answer keys, even if expert opinions are involved. In a recent case, a candidate challenged the final answer key for the CLAT-UG 2025 exam, specifically questioning five answers. The court found errors in two of those questions and decided that ignoring those mistakes would be unfair to the candidate and potentially affect other candidates' results. As a result, the court ordered that the candidate's result be revised to award marks for one of the incorrectly answered questions. Additionally, the court excluded another question from the exam, as recommended by an expert committee. The Consortium of NLUs had argued that their expert committee had thoroughly reviewed all objections before finalizing the answer...
