AILET 2019 (All India Law Entrance Test) was conducted in multiple cities by NLU (National Law University) Delhi.

This section’s difficulty level was moderate and 20 would be considered a decent score in this.
Most of the reasoning-based questions were quite lengthy with many principles.
Yet, most of the principles were from conventional topics and are very common in this section.
Legal GK part of this section contained questions from:-
The reasoning part of this section was quite lengthy and would have taken quite a bit of time to solve.
But, the actual surprise was the Legal GK questions in this paper which were abundant in number and some required a bit of detailed knowledge. This would play the deciding role in the final cut-off as these contained questions which required immense study and dedication on the student’s part during the preparation.
18 would be considered a good score in this section.
It was a tricky section with an increased focus on critical reasoning and the students not comfortable with this part would have faced some problems with it as this would affect the final score a lot. 18 would be a good score in this section.
This section was lengthy as well as difficult; attempting all questions would have bordered on foolhardy since it would have wasted a lot of time as each question required quite a bit of reading and would take more than the time the students had. Only 4 or 5 questions could have been attempted while keeping the rest of the paper in mind.
The final cut-off would be 72+ keeping all these factors in mind.
AILET 2019 Exam Question Pattern
- AILET paper has 150 Questions which divided into 5 sections: - English, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics.
- AILET paper has a negative marking of 0.25.
AILET 2019:- ENGLISH (35 Marks)
- Inferential – based Questions based on a Reading Comprehension – 8 Questions.
- Vocabulary Questions – 3 Questions.
- Grammar Questions – 12 Questions (Including - 10 Questions for Improving the Sentence, 2 Questions relating to identifying the Part of Speech).
- Single cloze test set – 6 Questions.
- Related to figures of Speech: - 6 Questions.
AILET 2019: General Knowledge (35 marks.)
This paper only had 2 questions based on static GK and Geography.The rest of the questions were from the current side with most questions from:-
- International affairs,
- Person-based appointments,
- Science and Technology.
There were also some statement-based questions.

AILET 2019: Legal Aptitude (35 Marks)
This year’s paper had 13 questions of Legal Reasoning while the rest were from Legal GK.Most of the reasoning-based questions were quite lengthy with many principles.

- Economics,
- Polity,
- Legal Current Affairs from the last quarter i.e. January to March.

AILET 2019: Logical Reasoning (35 Marks)
In this year’s paper,- There were a 7-Question set and 10 traditional questions of directions, blood relations, clocks, seating arrangement, and puzzles in analytical reasoning,
- 2 Questions of syllogism.
- 16 Questions on critical reasoning including 10 paragraph-based questions.
- 3 Question each on the course of action and cause and effect.
It was a tricky section with an increased focus on critical reasoning and the students not comfortable with this part would have faced some problems with it as this would affect the final score a lot. 18 would be a good score in this section.
AILET 2019: Mathematics (10 Marks)
This year, this section had 3 questions of time-distance-speed and 2 questions of mensuration with some other questions of individual topics.This section was lengthy as well as difficult; attempting all questions would have bordered on foolhardy since it would have wasted a lot of time as each question required quite a bit of reading and would take more than the time the students had. Only 4 or 5 questions could have been attempted while keeping the rest of the paper in mind.
The final cut-off would be 72+ keeping all these factors in mind.
